Dear Members and Friends,
As the year ends, we’re reminded of the progress we’ve made – and the challenges ahead.
The League of Women Voters of North Carolina has been at the forefront of safeguarding voting rights, promoting civic engagement, and ensuring free and fair elections.
Our 15 local Leagues and nearly 2,000 members statewide worked tirelessly during 2024. We reached more than 300,000 citizens with voting information through VOTE411.org, numerous events and candidate forums, mailings, text banking, social media, and canvassing. LWVNC volunteers have supported transparency and accountability in elections by attending and reporting on more than 300 county board of election meetings in 30 counties throughout the state.
Looking ahead to 2025, we will continue to advocate for free and fair elections, human rights, and quality public education access for all. We will work to safeguard democracy and protect our constitutional rights, fight against voter suppression and misinformation, and advocate for transparent, accountable governance that treats all citizens equitably.
We need your support now more than ever to continue this vital, non-partisan work.
Your contribution fuels our mission to build a stronger democracy for all. Every dollar brings us closer to a future where every voice is heard, every vote is counted, and every community thrives. Stand with us and make your end-of-year or recurring gift today.
Thank you for being a champion of democracy by supporting the League of Women Voters of North Carolina.
With gratitude,
Jennifer McMillan Rubin
President, LWVNC
