Join in this informative presentation from Wilmington's new police chief, Donny Williams. Chief Williams is a native Wilmingtonian and is invested in promoting a "cultural reset" as he fulfills his new role. He will be sharing the Wilmington Police Department's new mission and values statements. Hear about new programs and initiatives for officers, such as: Project ABLE (Active Bystander Law Enforcement), the Fair and Impartial Policing Training with the Institute of Police, and the Culture & History program taught by Jan Davidson at the Cape Fear Museum. Chief Williams will give an update on community engagement, report statistics, and share the progress of WPD's goals. There will be time for discussion on how the LWV - Lower Cape Fear can best support a "cultural reset."
