The Judge of Elections is a crucial position for ensuring that elections run smoothly, and yet there are hundreds of vacancies for Judges of Elections across the Commonwealth.

International Relations

The International Relations Study Group of the League of Women Voters of Central Delaware County has been active for years studying different countries meeting monthly on the second Tuesday at 12:30 pm. To generate discussion the group uses the Great Decisions Briefing Book resources put out by the Foreign Policy Association.

This month on September 9, 2025 the discussion will be a review of Chapter 6 The Future of NATO and European Security.

This is a special Fireside Chat with the three Pennsylvania Supreme Court Justices up for retention in the upcoming election. This unique event offers a rare opportunity to hear directly from the justices about their roles, experiences on the bench, and what retention means for our judicial system.
Behind the Ballot Fireside Chat: PA Supreme Court Retention Elections is being held on Monday, September 8, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM. Those who register can choose either to attend in-person (Central High School, Philadelphia) or virtually.

The Good Trouble Lives On: Voting Rights Vigil is being held on Thursday, July 17, 2025 from 8:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Be Woke. Vote Mural located at the corner of W 5th Street and Avenue of the States, Chester, PA. This vigil is part of a national day of nonviolent action, one of thousands marking the anniversary of Congressman John Lewis’ passing. We are hosting a Good Trouble Lives On to demand that Congress protect our freedom to vote, stand up to authoritarianism, and fight back against attacks on our communities.
