The Pay Equity Tour

Spokane is the first stop in a ten-location of "The Pay EquityTour" by the Washington State Women's Commission (WSWC) to highlight the problem of pay inequity for 3.8 women in our state.

Elaine Harger, above, organized a voter information table at the WSWC meeting in Spokane on July 27th, held at Gonzaga University.

Elaine Harger and Pamela Joyner welcomed participants.  Pam made a point of explaining to all visiting the table that 16 and 17 year-olds can pre-register to vote.

The WA State Women's Commission purchased  the LWVWA's The State We're In: WA civics textbooks to give to participants.

Betsy Wilkinson, (pictured below on the right side) President of the Spokane City Councll, introduced the program.  Many Girl Scouts were in attendance.
