LWV of GREATER GREEN BAY partnered with Delta Sigma Theta Sorority during the Green Bay Women’s March and Day of Action on January 20th to provide voter registration assistance and collect pledges for a resolution in support of expanded voting hours in the City of Green Bay. “With the help of the Sorority at this community event, a record number of names supporting our resolution were collected,” said Julie Arneth, President LWV GGB. “Being a part of the event provided great visibility for our League and enabled us to reach out to a new and more diverse population.” Delta Sigma Theta is the nation’s largest, predominantly African-American Greek-lettered organization and is primarily focused on service to the Black community. Here’s a concrete example of how doing the League’s work with great partners on a day of citizen action can enhance our reach to voters.
