Member's Spotlight

This Women’s History Month, LWV Wisconsin recognizes and celebrates the everyday accomplishments and contributions of women in the League. In a quiet moment, look around you at a League board meeting or a League event. Take special notice of League members who tirelessly, consistently, and without fanfare, participate in planning, volunteer, attend meetings, lend their voice to discussions, and advocate for League positions. We rightfully admire and give recognition to exceptional League leaders. The Meg McLane Award for Advocacy is one such way that annually acknowledges and highlights an individual League member as an outstanding citizen advocate. But it’s also our collection of individual members, the combination of their gifts, great and small, their dedicated service and volunteerism, that powers the League’s success in making positive policy changes in Wisconsin. This Women’s History Month, we salute the women in every local League. Thank you for living out the mission of empowering voters and defending democracy!
