Be an Informed Voter

  • Some races on the ballot include: Circuit Court Judges and local races like town, mayor, village, city boards, and more. These are nonpartisan positions, so candidates will not have a D or R next to their names on the ballot.
  • It is also the Presidential Preference Primary. Voters will choose one candidate from their preferred political party's list of presidential candidates. Learn more.
  • Voters will have two proposed constitutional amendments on their ballot and some may have local referendum questions.
  • Visit MyVote.Wi.Gov to view your ballot.
  • Learn more about the candidates at VOTE411. You can find unbiased candidate information in both English and Spanish

Have an Absentee Ballot?

  • Find instructions on completing your absentee ballot. Make sure you are thorough and double-check you followed all of the directions.
  • Make a plan to return your absentee ballot in the mail at least one week prior to April 2.
  • Less than a week away from Election Day? It's too late to mail your ballot, but don't worry you have options! Return it to your clerk's office or clerk-designated return locations on Election Day (like your polling place or central count location for communities that use central count). Drop boxes are no longer permitted in Wisconsin,
  • Voters with a disability who need assistance may have someone return their absentee ballot other than their employer, agent of that employer, or officer or agent of their union. If you are told otherwise, please contact the Disability Rights WI Voter Hotline: 844-347-8683 / info [at] disabilityvote.org
