LWVWI is a proud member of the Wisconsin Disability Vote Coalition, a non-partisan effort to help ensure full participation in the entire electoral process of voters with disabilities. This year we are partnering with the Wisconsin Disability Vote Coalition to celebrate National Disability Voter Registration Week to increase the political power of people with disabilities by sharing resources and getting folks registered to vote. Join us and help to continue raising the disability voice and civic participation across Wisconsin in 2021 and beyond!
How to Get Involved with National Disability Voter Registration Week -
- Host a Voter Registration or Voter Education Event
- Share National Disability Voter Registration Week info on Social Media
- Write letters to the editor or Op-Eds and engage local radio or TV stations on the growing efforts by the disability community.
- Ask your Mayor, City Council, or County Board to issue a proclamation declaring September 13-17 & 20, 2021, National Disability Voter Registration Week. Find a draft Proclamation here
- Check to make sure you're registered to vote at your current address online at MyVote.WI.Gov, then ask 3 friends to check their registration as well.
