Fond du Lac Clerk and Kathy Griffith Join Forces to Educate on the Role of Local Government in Elections

Fond du Lac County Clerk, Lisa Freiberg, sat with Kat Griffith of Ripon Press to write a column helping residents of Fond du Lac County (and beyond) understand the role of local government in elections there. 

Freiberg and Griffith (who is also a County Board Supervisor) are both members of the local League of Women Voters in Ripon, which has made strong efforts to help voters in that area understand the election process as well as dispel mis- and dis-information. 

The article covers things like: whether Fond du Lac County uses voting machines and what type they use, how ballots are designed and how the machines read them, and what type of testing is done on the machines to ensure they work properly.
