Register to Vote
- The deadline to register online is October 19.
- Have you moved since you last voted? Make sure you update your address online.
- After October 19, you can register or update your address at your early voting location or polling place on Election Day.
- Make sure you have a proof of residence document for registration.
Be an Informed Voter
- Voters will cast their ballots for US Senate, US Representative, Governor, Lt. Governor, Attorney General, Secretary of State, State Treasurer, State Senator (odd numbered districts), Assembly Representatives, County Sheriff , and Clerk of Circuit Court.

Vote Absentee
- Request your absentee ballot at MyVote
- It's better to request a ballot sooner rather than later so you can mail it in at least a week prior to November 8.
- Make sure you closely follow the instructions from your clerk when filling out your ballot and witness certificate envelope. Find instructions on completing your absentee ballot.
- Returning your ballot: Make sure you put your ballot in the mail by November 1! Remember - Drop boxes are no longer permitted in Wisconsin. If you don't have enough time to mail in your ballot, you can drop it off at your clerk's office, early voting site, or polling place (or central count location for communities that use central count).
- Any Wisconsin voter who requires assistance is entitled to receive assistance from a person of the voter’s choice, other than the voter’s employer or agent of that employer or officer or agent of the voter’s union.
Vote Early
- Early voting starts on Oct 25. Days, times, and locations vary by municipality.
- Make sure you bring a valid form of photo ID.
Election Day Voting
- Election Day is November 8 and the polls are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Make sure you bring a valid form of photo ID.
- Don't forget to double-check your polling place location.
