The LWVMN board of directors sets priorities based on the current needs of Minnesota, their relevancy to LWV’s mission, their political feasibility, and their urgency. While LWVMN works on many issues, these issues receive additional dedicated resources.

2024 LWVMN Legislative Priorities
Redistricting Reform
- congressional, legislative and local redistricting reform to establish redistricting processes which are driven by citizens through citizen commissions
- include prioritized principles that place minority representation and communities of interest above geographic and political considerations; and establish transparency through public input and review
Minnesota Equal Rights Amendment
- Promote the adoption of a ballot issue in 2024 or 2026 to add the Equal Rights Amendment into the Minnesota State Constitution.
