The League of Women Voters Anoka, Blaine, Coon Rapids Area (LWV ABC) is a 501(c)3 non-partisan political organization of adult and young adult volunteers who believe that our representative democracy needs citizens involved in public discussions.  LWV ABC is active in most communities in Anoka County, as well as Champlin and Dayton in Hennepin County.

League of Women Voters is organized at the national, state and local levels. Members of LWV ABC are also members of the League of Women Voters Minnesota (LWVMN) and the national League of Women Voters (LWVUS).  At all levels, the League of Women Voters:

      • Encourages informed and active participation in government
      • Works to increase understanding of public policy issues
      • Influences public policy through education and advocacy

Like all Leagues, LWV ABC is non-partisan.  LWV does advocate on issues based on grass-roots positions but does not support candidates for office or political parties.
