March 22 at noon: Join us on Zoom as we unpack the complicated history of health care and work to foster a foundational understanding of the LWVUS Healthcare Position for our local Leagues. In the third (of 3) program(s) in the series, participants will hear from Dr. William Munn, senior policy analyst at the NC Justice Center, on how racism shapes health policy in North Carolina. Register here

March 24 at 5:30 p.m.: The Carteret County League will host a Women's History Month reception at the History Museum of Carteret County, in collaboration with the Carteret County Historical Society. The event will feature exhibits that highlight key suffragettes including images of notable women in Carteret County and a guest speaker, Dr. Tracy Mancini, president of Carteret Community College. Chefs from women-owned local restaurants will offer appetizers, and a silent auction will feature items from local merchants. Suggested donation: $10.

March 29 and 31 at 7 p.m.: LWV of Orange, Durham, and Chatham Counties is hosting a two-part series on reproductive rights and the Supreme Court. Two distinguished scholars – one from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and one from Meredith College – will explore these topics.
