LWV CEO Celina Stewart stated the organization's stance on Mid-Cycle Redistricting this morning (August 20) on CNN's Early Morning. "But make no mistake, should states engage in this and courts allow it to move forward, then the League will do what we have always done. We will make sure that there is public input. We will be pushing to make sure that the process has transparency and accountability in it. Good Trouble Lives On Image

On July 17, the Southern Delaware Alliance for Racial Justice (SDARJ) hosted "Good Trouble Lives On" gathering to honor the memory of civil rights icon John Lewis. The event featured speakers from across the county, including Sussex LWV President Barb Hedges-Goettl. With temperatures in the high 90s, the event moved from Johnnie Walker Beach to the sanctuary at Epworth United Methodist Church, where the (air-conditioned!) hall was packed.
