LWV Hingham Candidates Night

In Person and Live from Hingham Town Hall

Candidates for local town office will share their goals for the coming term and contested race candidates will answer voter questions. Moderator, Elizabeth Foster-Nolan from the LWV of Massachusetts will manage the discussion. 
 
Live broadcast: Candidates Night was broadcast LIVE on Harbor Media’s YouTube Channel. As always, event recording is at the bottom of this page and on Harbor Media sites. The Town Election is on Saturday, April 29, 2023.
 

Questions for Contested Races

All questions are vetted in advance by the League for appropriateness. The public may be submit questions. Please send to bandcwilk [at] me.com by April 10, 2023.

Candidates are invited to present a two-minute statement.

School Committee - two spots - for Three Years:

Randall Winters (Candidate for Re-election)

Board of Health - for Three Years:

Elizabeth Eldridge (Candidate for Re-election)

Municipal Light Board - for Three Years:

Sewer Commission - for Three Years:

James Byrne

Recreation Commission - for Five Years:

Vicki Donlan (Candidate for Re-election)

Recreation Commission - Three Years:

CONTESTED OFFICES:

Candidates for the four contested elections will participate in a question and answer session. Each candidate is allowed a two-minute opening statement, one minute to answer each question, and a one-minute closing statement. (Assuming that all candidates are present. LWV rules requires the participation of all candidates for forum to occur. If anyone cannot attend, candidates are invited to present a statement.)
