Our League will only be as strong as our members - women and men from the community who are willing to lend their time and energy to educate, advocate and empower voters.
Membership in the League of Women Voters, the most respected and effective grassroots organization in the country, is open to any person age 16 or older. Our members make a visible difference by serving as community leaders using their experience to create positive, lasting change in our communities.

How Much Time Does it Take?
It's up to you! Many members choose to support the League only with their annual dues. Your membership alone gives us the political influence needed to build a voice for citizens and a force for change. We cover a broad spectrum of issues and concerns; you may choose to become involved in one or more of them by actively participating in a group study, or listening to a panel of experts at a meeting or just reading about them in one of our publications.

Pay Membership Dues Online
Under the new LWVUS based membership program, there will no longer be “household” or “student” categories. Dues renew on anniversary date.
- Individuals are encouraged to pay a standard rate of $75.
- There will be a pay-what-you-can option where members can choose their own dues amount, with a minimum of $20.
Although the payment category for an Additional Member in Household is discontinued, a member joining from the same household as an existing member can choose to pay half of the recommended amount under the pay-what-you-can model (i.e., $114 or $57/member for two members as each must pay the same amount). However, to do this online, you will need a unique email address for each member.
