News

Delaware's Ron Silverio/Heather Block End of Life Options Act (HB 140) was signed into law in May 2025 and became effective in Delaware on January 1, 2026. The law allows terminally ill, mentally capable adult residents with 6 months or less to live to request and self-administer medication to end their lives. LWVDE hopes that you and your loved ones never need to utilize such an option, but please be aware that this additional end-of-life option now exists in Delaware should you ever find yourself in a position to require it.
