In this short video, Marian Lewin, LWVNC's vice president, talks about the systems that are in place to make sure the election runs smoothly, given all of the changes this year. The state is prepared to ensure that no one votes twice in this election, and that after the election all votes are recorded and reported to the public.
Voters can request their absentee ballot through an online portal at NCSBE.gov.
Go to VOTE411.org, LWVNC's nonpartisan voter guide, to find out about the policy positions of candidates, get detailed instructions on registering to vote, find an early voting location in your county, confirm your Election Day polling place, and take the guesswork out of the absentee-by-mail process.
