The full membership of the League of Women Voters of South Carolina is invited to an important virtual panel discussion: Threats to Public Health in South Carolina.

Panelists will focus on the decline in childhood vaccinations and the impact that loss of funding for the Department of Public Health may have on the department’s ability to protect our health.

Joining us will be three experts who have deep connections to SC public health:

  • Wanda Crotwell, a healthcare lobbyist
  • Dr. Kathleen Cartmell, a public health professor at Clemson and head of the SC Immunization Coalition
  • Scott Thorpe, Executive Director of the Southern Alliance for Public Heath Leadership.

Please register in advance for this meeting. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.

This LWVSC presentation is co-sponsored by the League of Women Voters of Charleston’s Healthcare Policy Workgroup.
