What map criteria matter to you? A lot's at stake. Let them know #WeAreWatching.

Talking points

    • Voters should be able to choose their representatives; representatives shouldn’t choose voters.
    • Legislative districts should not be distorted to protect incumbents or political parties.
    • Legislative districts should not be drawn with the intention to reduce competitiveness — let people choose in November!
    • District lines should respect communities of interest, especially precincts and counties.
    • District lines should ensure that minorities have an opportunity to elect a representative of their choosing, but should not be packed beyond that point to diminish minority influence in adjacent districts.
    • And finally, speak to the definition of communities of interest of particular interest to YOU — your school district, county, or whatever physical or cultural features define a community that you believe should be kept intact during redistricting.
