LWVVC is partnering with Volusia County Schools Social Studies department and Volusia Supervisor of Elections Department to provide Voter Registration and Information assemblies at each county high school.
The LWVVC Board of Directors held their annual planning retreat on Saturday, July 15. The packed agenda included appointing four additional board, adopting new goals and strategies, and setting the calendar of meeting topics.
Three local league board members (Pat Drago, Nicki Junkins, and Olga Hernandez) participated in the state league’s biennial convention in Orlando on June 2nd and 3rd.

LWVVC Legislative Team members Clay Meek (Chair), Nancy Vaughn, Vivian Lord, and Nicki Junkins were in Tallahassee this week to participate in the state League's annual lobby days event.
LWVVC was well represented at Volusia County's State of the County Luncheon during which the team met our new county council members and learned about last years successes and challenges due to the enormous hurricane damages from Ian and Nicole.
LWVVC members enjoyed a gala holiday social at the Cici and Hyatt Brown Museum of Art. The event, organized the social chair Cathy Egley, included a yummy buffet and great conversation with friends.
