Voting is more important - and more convenient - than ever before. This year Floridians will elect a Governor, State Senators, House Representatives, and many county and city officials. These elected officials will vote for or against laws that will impact all of our lives ... so be sure to take part!

We had a great day at the DeLand Dog Parade, marching in the parade as well as registering and educating voters. Our younger voters got to vote for their favorite puppy.

LWVVC Voter Service and Natural Resources Teams were busy at the Lyonia Preserve Festival registering/educating voters and sponsoring an election for children-Vote for your Favorite Animal.

LWVVC President Mary Anne Connors and Board Member Nicki Junkins represented the League at the annual Volusia County State of the County Luncheon held on February 8 in Daytona Beach.
