Elections Manager Receives Award
Anoka County News, Vol.1-2026
Anoka County Elections Manager Tom Hunt recently received the ‘Friend of the League’ Award from the League of Women Voters ABC for his outstanding service in preserving democracy by providing voters safe, secure, and accurate elections.
The Friend of the League Award is given to a community member or group who assists the League of Women Voters ABC in achieving its goal of good government.
“Many League of Women Voters members serve as election judges and appreciate Tom supervising and training judges prior to elections,” District 5 Anoka County Commissioner Mike Gamache said. “Recently, an Anoka County post-election review process took place where it was determined Anoka County had no adjusted differences between machine-tabulated results and hand-counted ballots. Observers also found legal processes set in Minnesota law were followed in Anoka County. Tom’s efforts to protect election integrity are truly top notch and we
appreciate all that he does for our county.” See page 7 of Anoka County News
