Diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) are essential concepts of our organization. LWVNC is committed to supporting actions that enhance these concepts in our work, our membership and our programs.

The LWVNC Board approved the Election of the President by Popular Vote Action Team in December 2023. This is in support of the LWVUS Moonshot effort that has an ultimate goal of abolishing the Electoral College by Constitutional amendment, with enacting the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact as the first step.
