Townsend, DE residents had an election on Saturday, May 1, 2021 to elect three town council members. Unofficial winners posted on 5/2/2021 are Gerald Dove, Eschalla Carke, and Joshua Mertz.

Alerks Kajstura is the legal director at the prison policy initiative and Yurij Rudensky, is the redistricting counsel at the Brennan Centers democracy program. Update 4/2/21: this election has been canceled. Challenger Cassandra Abel has withrawn from the Smyrna Mayoral race, and Mayor Robert C. Johnson will automatically re-assume his seat.
The LWVDE Alternative Voting Methodologies Study team will hold “consensus meetings” for League members to discuss a proposed new LWVDE Action Position on Electoral Systems prior to our state convention in May 2021.
The Town of Elsmere's 2021 Biennial Municipal Election were held on Saturday, April 24, 2021. Two seats, Mayor and Council District 6, were contested. Eric Thompson retained his mayoral seat and Dawn DiBiaso won in District 6.
