The State Board of Education is considering a rule that states “Instruction material is not 'age and developmentally appropriate' for any age or age group of children if it includes descriptions or visual depictions of 'sexual conduct.'"

By February 12, phone or email your representative(s) on the SC Board of Education. Please urge your them to permit older students access to age-appropriate sexual education content for instructional purposes.

Public schools need your help! Urge your senator to oppose H.3728. This public school censorship bill creates unnecessary risks for social studies teachers, includes unreasonable mandates for schools, and creates a process that encourages unfounded complaints against teachers and schools.
